How many calories do I need?

I stumbled across this as part of my new subscription to the Happy Herbivore meal plans (more to come on that, it was totally an impulse buy, so we will see).

This is something I have been looking for for years: something that will actually tell me how many calories I need every day.

  1. When I changed my eating habits and tried to count calories I was amazed at how hard it was to get in all the calories that I needed.

  2. I totally agree. I have been trying to run a 5K once a week, and on those days I need an extra 400 calories. On these days, I tend to indulge in the cheese and nuts that I limit the rest of the time. And, though I don't worry about my protein as a veggie, it is nice to know that I am getting extra to help build muscle.

    Now I just need to get those 5K days in more often :)
